so start with an empty jar and then put in? how many pieces for each good thing? and how full does the jar have to get before the treat?

DD and I pre-agreed a list of things that would earn a piece of pasta. Each piece was worth 5p, so she saved up to buy something she wanted (a bath for her doll). Didn't get into the whole "take out a piece for naughty behaviour" - she just didn't earn when she was bad.
