Hi all,
I'm hoping to start my pgce in sep.
Does anyone know what help you get towards child care whilst studying full time?
(I'm also a lone parent so not sure if means anything more).
DS will be one in sep & so hoping to send him full time from then.
Thanks. Xx

It depends what your studying.

also most unis don't have you in every day so you might not need full time child care :)

I got help from student finance, they pay something like up to 70 percent of your childcare costs depending on household income- I did teacher training and so DD was in full time. HTH

The childcare grant goes up to £150 a week
