DD turned one mid May and pretty much since then I've been having these huge waves of emotion where I end up either crying or having a go at poor DP. I had a really awful period last month and pretty much cried the entire time, presumably with hormones etc.

I stopped breastfeeding DD in October and one of the NCT girls said something about it taking about 6 months for the oxytocin to leave your system after stopping breastfeeding. Do you think this could be to blame?

I'm getting really sick of bursting into tears especially when it happens at work!! and really need to level out my emotions fairly soon.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you recently gone back to work? That was enough to make me burst into tears on a regular basis.

Whispers quietly - any chance you could be pregnant?

Otherwise trip to GP for you.

Went back to work in January. I do think work stress has something to do with it but it's being prompted by something else.

And I don't think I can be pregnant because I had a horrendous period a couple of weeks ago (serious labour like cramps and mega blood) and we've not had sex since.
