So it's quite warm this week which is lovely... But... Dont know what to dress LO in!

In the house I've tended to just have LO in a vest (sleeping in s/s vest and 1 tog sleeping bag)... But I don't know what of put him in out and about. Was going to put him in shorts and tshirt but should he also have a vest on, or just one or the other?

If he's in a vest I wasn't sure if the straps of the car seat would rub on his skin, but wasn't used about just a tshirt and shorts and no vest. But worried both will be too warm.

First time mum and continually confused!!

I would start off with a vest and shorts and t-shirt. You can always remove something if he's getting hot.

I used to go for a sleeveless vest and a romper, summer hat.

Mine is just in a cotton babygro.

How old is he? ditching the vest is a huge psychological leap for the parent of a winter baby Grin but the time has come. It's bloody hot - a tshirt and shorts is fine.

Vests are scary to ditch aren' they? Grin

I would be doing shorts & tshirt or romper suit only on the very warm days, a cardi somewhere close to hand just in case. Or dungarees with/without vest underneath.

My Ds is 3.5yrs and still always wears a vest Grin

TBF, it's my PILs fault.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 10/06/2014 11:03

I used to put a long sleeved vest on dd (mind we are north east so the temp was never tropical!) And socks.

Done.

My winter baby is in a romper today, no vest but it is 100c

Littlef00t · 10/06/2014 12:12

My 12 wo is just in ss roomer no vest. If I'm melting, I presume she's hot too. I have little leggings if it gets cold but at home so can be flexible.

Artandco · 10/06/2014 12:18

I always just put a regular cotton baby grow on. One with long sleeves, and feet. No vest though. Babies get cold very quickly, and the long legs and sleeves protect against the sun, as babies shouldn't wear sun cream anyway
