Hot holiday clothes for 10mo DS?

Started packing for our first family holiday to Spain next week. Bit unsure what to take for 10mo DS. He's crawling and into everything. Only taking 1 suitcase for 3 of us so need to pack light. Will have access to washing favourites but wondered what's best. Vests/tshirts/rompers etc? How many? Will he just sleep in a short sleeved vest as there is no a/c? I'm in danger of filling a suitcase with just his stuff otherwise!!

We've just been to Majorca with 5 month old DD. She was in just her nappy quite a lot but also rompers or sundresses. We had a/c so not sure about sleeping but short sleeve vests are probably fine. Have a lovely holiday!

I always think warm weather is a lovely chance for babies to be naked (in the shade). At 8mo in Barbados so 24/25C at night, DD slept in only a nappy.

Put everything you think would cover your bases on the bed, then halve it.

nappy only to sleep. Swimwear x 2 can always wash through, few romper suits or shorts and t-shirts. none more needed

Vests and nothing else.

Rompers, they're a whole outfit but essentially a vest. Take a little tube of travel washing stuff, then if you end up with multiple changes a day you can just hand wash a few bits in the sink - that totally saved me in France with a 9 month old last year!

A few vests and a sun suit. Little else needed

Vests, UV swimsuit, cute rompers if you've got any.

Hat!

Suncream stains fabric yellow in my world, especially the heavy duty factor 50 stuff so it's worth just smothering him in cream and letting him potter about in just a nappy with some (swim) shorts over if you are in a public pool area. I can't be bothered with handwashing on holidays so some cheap all in one vests/shortlegged all in ones would be your best bet.

Flying - top tip is two nappies on for the flight, one in a larger size on top to contain the explosion that often results from a plane flight. Either way, bring a full change of clothes. Definitely bring a cardi/jumper so you have something warm to wrap him up in if you are out late at night and there's a breeze. The airports will be freezing too.
