What products do you use on your little one?

Just wondering what products you use one your little ones at bath time? My dd is 8 weeks old now and I haven't used any products, I've only used water and olive oil on her. Before dd arrived a lot of friends and family bought me some Johnson & Johnson products but I haven't used them as I heard they contain toxins that could be harmful.

Also, any recommendations on sun cream? what is the best one to use on babies?

Thank you.

I only put oilatum in the bath as DS has eczema so needs it. With dd I could use anything but like the Naked range for babies and kids, not too many nasties in there. John sons baby oil does smell divine for after the bath, for me it is the way babies should smell lol!

Regarding sun cream, I would keep them out of the sun as much as possible before 6 months anyway. They are so delicate and sun creams really are full of additives, for obvious reasons but if it worries you, avoid. I have used Nivea baby in the past and it was ok, but very thick and white and greasy, neither of the kids appreciated it. The Soltan once sprays seem much nicer to use, not sure if there's an age limit (dd has this at preschool so I can't check, sorry, but it's Boots own brand).

Good luck and congrats on your LO x

I've got 3 DC's and the youngest one is 11 weeks. I used Johnsons up until a few weeks ago when I read about the toxins. It's been binned.
I use burt's bees (it was a gift as it's really £££) and simple all in one on the baby. And dove and l'oreal kids shampoo on the older ones. I just use what we have mostly on the older one's but if there's something on offer at the time,I'll get it them.

I use baby oil in the bath with a mild bubble bath (I just wanted him to have some bubbles!) with an extra sensitive baby shampoo. I got some j&j lotion because he's got very dry skin, but wish I hadn't bothered because not only is it really strongly perfumed, but it's also useless. I now use normal hypo-allergenic type mousturiser.

DD is 5 months and we still just use water mainly. I use a bit of weleda calendula oil if I need to get some stubborn dirt off eg the stuff that collects in her belly button. And water wipes when out and about (water and cotton wool at home). She seems clean enough, I don't think products are really necessary for babies.

Oilatum here too

With dentinox cradle cap shampoo

I did use green people sun cream stuff when my DCs were toddlers. Sometimes you just can't avoid them having some sun exposure so found this non chemically. Another vote for burts bees, it's pricey but a little goes a long way. Boots stock more natural, less expensive ranges now too.

We're also on oilatum now tho due to excema.

Just plain water no soap here - DD is almost 4, DS 20 months
