has gone wellGrin He's a bit wet, but has all of his day time drinks put of a plastic glass. Nursery have suggested we wean 20 mth old ds off of his morning bottle, as he is moving up a room soon, and they prefer no bottles. Fingers crossed for tomorrow..

Why not use a sippy cup? 20m is a bit young for an open cup without making a mess IME. Big step from bottle to open cup.

Depends on the child. My DS is 20 months and hasn't had a bottle in the day for about 3 months. He can down a cup of milk one handed now!

My two moved to cups at 12 months but I wouldn't give an open cup to a 20 month old! Sippy cups are much handier.

I'm not looking at giving up the bottle for ages yet DS has no dummy/blanket/teddy for comfort totally rejected everything I tried but loves his bottle so I just leave him too it. I'm sure he's grow up with awful problems because of this bottle but hey ho

Whatever works best Lola Grin. If ds wasn't drinking out of a cup, I'd just leave him on the bottles.
