Took high chair away too soon

My daughter is almost 20 months. I sold her high chair on gumtree last month and now I'm regretting it. I don't think she was ready for it to be gone, as selfish as this May sound , I feel as though there is nowhere she can stay still while I'm doing things maybe in the afternoon. She has lots of play time but I just need some time through out the day to get things sorted. I'm thinking of buying another one. Would this be a bad idea?

If you do end up getting another, buy the Ikea Antilop, cheap as chips. DS 2.6 is still in his, otherwise he stands on an adult dining chair and wobbles about, dropping food everywhere!

DS has also been following me arpund the house with adining chair, pushing it into the kitchen where he plays on the counter with plastic cups, tupperware etc and some cars, maybe some flour and 'helps' me cook or wash up with bubbles. I have a big counter so there is plenty of safe space. Or he'll play in his play kitchen.

If you want containment would a cheap or second hand travel cot be better? She can move around and play while you get things done.

It's not a great idea to buy one to use as a prison. I suggest you get used to her being around while you do stuff.

Agree with buying a booster to use for mealtimes.

Why would you strap a 20 month in a high chair while you did stuff? What kind of things? You'd stop using it soon anyway.
