Is Maleficent suitable for a 4 yr old?

Dd will be 5 next month and is obsessed by princesses, Disney etc. She can be a little sensitive but does understand baddies usually get their comeuppance. She was scared by the marshmallow man in Frozen the first time she saw it but now loves it (& is as obsesses as the rest of the population!).
Has anyone seen it? It's a PG rating and I wonder if she's too little?

I wouldn't take my 6yo but know that other people happily would.

There is some info on the film and it's rating here Smile

My 3.9yo managed it quite well. He only had is DFs hand over his eye once.

A friend of mine saw it for work and warned me that my 10yo DD might find some bits scary, so I'd definitely find out a bit more wrt a 4yo. It could be that my friend is worrying unnecessarily, but she's been to plenty of films with me and my DC so she's aware that DD is pretty robust about these things...

I took my 4 year old - she loved it. The good bits more than compensate for the (not so) scary bits.
Great film though my DD still prefers Frozen!

Thanks ever so much , that summary was really helpful. Whilst I would quite like to see it I think she is too young. Maybe in a years time on DVD! Thankyou Smile
