What is the latest time your baby naps before bed time?

What is baby bed time?
When is their last nap?
How old is baby?

My baby is having a hard time as her 3rd nap is to about 3.30-4.00 and bedtime was 7pm but she can't stay awake that long without getting miserable and falling asleep on the last bottle before even finishing it. Her naps have all moved a bit later hence she was on 4 but now doesn't have time for the 4th
Any ideas on what I can do

I suspect your baby is younger but my DD is 17mo and she goes to bed at 6.30pm.

On days where she has two naps, she's awake by 2.30pm. If she has only one, sometimes she's awake by 1pm. On those days sometimes she gets really tired so goes to bed even earlier, sometimes she's fast asleep by 6pm.

I've always been quite obsessed with naps but find that when she's dropped one she just needs a slightly earlier bedtime to help her readjust. It's worked fine and I've never found her waking up much earlier.

Can you put your DC to bed a bit earlier? Or make the earlier naps slightly later again to compensate?

My 7 month old has a strange 'power nap' at about 7pm before waking for her bedtime bottle at about 8pm. She also has one at about 5pm. She then sleeps through until 8am. Different strokes!

My four month old gets tired an hour and a half after he last woke, so bed time depends on when his last nap finishes. We start the bedtime routine an hour after he woke from his last nap.
So bedtime normally falls around 7pm, but naps vary slightly each day, so therefore so does bedtime.

My four month old dd is almost the same luckiestgirl. We start the bedtime routine at 7.30pm or slightly earlier, and dd has her last nap around 5.30/6pm. It's not normally a long one and if she's still sleeping by 6.15ish then we 'encourage' her to wake up Smile. It just seems to enable her to get through to bedtime, and not to conk out before she's had enough milk!
How old is your dd CorBlimey?

My 9mo old is down to two naps but a couple of months ago he'd have 30mins anytime between 4 and 5 then go to bed at 7:30.

we used to have the pre-sleep sleep too!
its funny!

OK
dd1 - 26mo
bed 7pm
wakes 7am ish
naps 2pm - 4-5ish. latest I'd put her down would be 4pm ish when she might sleep til 6 ish and I'd wake her for tea and bath then back to bed.

dd2. 9mo. same bed and wake up
sleeps 9.30-11.30ish and 2-3.30 ish. never really sleeps later than that.

3 month old wakes around 8am and will have another nap around 10. Then another at about 1Ish. Sometimes this afternoon nap is very long, most of the time is about 20 mins.

In the evening will have a couple of short power naps in and around cluster feeding, then to sleep properly about 10. The bedtime seems to be moving earlier at the moment but not sure if there's a definite pattern yet.

Omg poocatcher!!!!! You have a sleep machine for a daughter!!!! I'm trying to imagine ds (same age) sleeping that much during the day and I can only dream of it. If we get an hour and a half in total we feel lucky!!!!

poocatcherchampion · 09/06/2014 15:25

she is a sleep machine! it is sometimes fab and sometimes a pain - between them they basically sleep all day!
