somebody help me please, we're going backwards with potty training

I have boy/girl twins who are training at the moment, they're 2 years 8 months. Lucy is 5 weeks into her training and Matthew is 3, they were both doing really well, only having max 1 accident a day with some dry days in between. For the past 4-5 days, they've been weeing and pooing all over the place, thinking it's funny, not caring about it at all. I'm about to loose it with them, I've been patient, not told them off, gone softly softly but it seems like we're going completely backwards and they can't be bothered with it anymore.

We've tried choccy button bribes and they try when they want one but if they're not fussed then that's it.

Even when I prompt and ask do you need a wee NOOOOO, and seconds later or shortly after they will wee their pants or worse, poo.

I don't know what to do next, I really don't want to go back to nappies this far in and they start pre-school on Tuesday (it's not stress from that because we haven't made a big deal of it).

Can anyone suggest anything to help me please

Thanks
Sarah x

your fisrt mistake is asking htem
id they KNEW theyd be potty trained" YOU need to take control
ok here are my rules..

  1. no pull ups ever 2 dont ask take them - try every 20 - 30 mins at first
  2. in loo have a HUGE pot of faberroney sweets adn if they go int eh loo - even a drop they get one. you cna also haev a potty out in the living area if you dare.
  3. for first week let them go naked down below so they get ther on time. 5 when they do ti go bananas! sing whoope and runa round liek a loon. ring a mate ( or pretend to if you cant bear the shame) to tlelt ehm
  4. lwet them buyt fab pants. 7 if htey have an accident remind them FIRMLY that they go to the loo when they need to go.

Ok so that all makes sense but what should I do then, start again from the beginning?

And what about them starting nursery on Tuesday they won't have them naked on the bottom half!

How should I tackle it this far along?

hmmm the more i think about it the more i think i might go back to square one then and start again, do you think i should tell them that until they can go on the potty properly they won't be allowed to wear any clothes? Or just not pass comment or what should I tell them?
