Ok, dd has been on lactulose for constipation the last week and it seems to have taken spectacular effect the last 24 hours. She's also a bit grumpy in herself, I'm guessing her tummy hurts, plus she's teething.

We're meant to fly to Spain on Monday to visit my parents but I've heard flying can also make babies tummy go nuts, is this true?

Bit worried it'll make her feel worse, anyone with any experience of this?

Sorry in advance if happen to be one of the other passengers....

We flew a few times in ds's first year, when he was 11 months he had had a tummy bug but he had been fine for 2 or 3 days. We flew from Stockholm to London (2 hour flight) and we used all the nappies and all 3 sets of spare clothes.

As soon as we landed his tummy was fine.

Thanks ikea, had heard this is possible but didn't know anyone who had actually experienced it. Will have to fill the carry on with nappies and clothes, maybe DH would like to sit next to the aisle and be on changing duty...

If it helps when ds had a poorly tummy the doctor advised to double bag him. Put a normal nappy on then 1 that is a size or 2 bigger to help catch extras. I'm not sure if it will work for you but you might feel a little more comfortable. I would travel with towels and wipes in hand luggage just in case .

I flew from Australia to the UK with my five month old and there were no tummy issues. All functioned perfectly normally!

I'd just take heaps of nappies just in case (especially in case of delay).
