having a few leaks with fleece wrap - what to do

ive been using tots fleece wraps overnight and for the past few days there has been a wet patch on DS vest and grobag at the front. i use bamboozles with an extra booster. the wrap fits neatly. im using size 2 nappies and wrap.

has anyone got any ideas on this? should i add extra booster although not sure if the wrap would cover the whole nappie then or should i get a size 3 wrap?

the nappie is soaked by morning and DS feeds 3 - 4 times during the night

Is the vest quite tight over the wrap? If so that's likely to cause wicking. Try a larger size of vest, or one of those popper extender things at the bottom. If that doesn't work I'd try a size 3 wrap (but then you'd probably need the larger vests anyway to go over a size 3 wrap).

thanks for that, yeah the vest is quite tight. where can i get the extender things from?

A lot of the cloth nappying suppliers do them. For example:

babykind.co.uk

twinkleontheweb.co.uk

naturalchild.co.uk (towards the bottom of the page)

You want to aim for whatever is over the wrap being pretty loose, if you want to avoid overnight wicking.

thanks, i will take a look at the websites

I had this problem with velcro fleece wraps, at ngiht the nappy would peep out of the top and get DS's PJs wet, I bought the next size up which worked a treat until they too became snug, so I bought some airflow style fleece wraps (with elastic at the front) and that solved that.

I've since switched to wool which works alot better. Stacinator, Nappysaurus and now Nature Babies all make fleece wraps which are side popper fastening and nice and high at the front.
