More gripes- the student support have screwed me up again

Hi, I posted last week when I'd heard I wouldn't be getting any help towards my childcare fees. Well, I resigned myself to that, decided I'll take the full loan and also found an educational award fund I may be entitled to. So things began to look up.
As you all know the fee system for unis has changed this year. welll, i applied in 2004 and deferred entry as i was pregnant at the time with my dd. I should be considered an old system student, eligible for a non repayable tuition fee grant ans also the HE grant, and I sent all my documents to my LEA to prove it.
I recently found out via the website (they hadn't bothered to actually write to me so far) that I had been assessed as a new style student because the wording on my uni confirmation letter was "not standard". I called them on Tue and they told me they couldn't (wouldn't) do anything about it. How many people would have been put off at this point?

if i had to borrow another 12 thousand for tuition fees, that would be the point when |I would have to give up...I feel like my family are already making sacrifices for me to go and study without winding up 32 grand in debt.

So i phoned my uni all guns blazing and gave them a "help me sort this or i'm not coming" ultimatum. Luckilt the finance officer who dealt with me has sorted it all out and now I am to be reassesed under the old rules.

It seems like there have been so many obstacles to overcome already and i haven't even started the course yet...now I'm havbing childcare problems too but i'll save that for another thread. My biggest concern now is that if my fees application has to be assessed all over again I am worried that my money will come in late. Has anyone had experience with this?
