Hi there,
My daughter is 14 months and recently she is waking in the night wanting milk. I'm not sure if it's because she's not eating enough during the day so is filling up at night or she needs the milk as a way of going back to sleep??
She is going through the picky eating/not eating stage. If I give her just water in the night she crys and crys so I give her milk as I think she must be hungry and she goes off again for a couple of hours till she wakes and we go through the same thing!!! Aghhhh!!!

Any suggestions??
Thank you.

Hmm. I'm afraid the only advice I have is to stop giving her milk! Water only at night, make sure (or at least try to ensure) that she gets plenty ot eat during the day. At that age she is unlikely to wake from hunger anyway.
You will have a couple of nights of tears but giving her milk will only reinforce the message that tears = milk.
My DD is 15 months and we had something similar recently (although not milk-related). We refused to give her what she wanted because, in the middle of the night, it was not needed - and eventually she got the message.
