I'm so exhausted this week and I'm trying my best not to be a shouting beast but I have been. I feel like utter crap and have just taken it out on my 3.5yo for opening her sisters birthday card for tomorrow. Silly I know. But I have had almost zero sleep this last week and I feel ahIr. And even shorter for shouting at her so in just sat in tears

Give yourself a break! You know sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture? When you're so dog tired it is absolutely unbearable!

Give your DD a cuddle, you'll both feel better.

And then forget anything that is unnecessary for today and try and relax.

I don't cope very well i'm afraid; I know exactly what you mean. There are days when I am literally shaking from tiredness and am a very poor parent; i know what i should be doing, and i know if i did it right then they would behave better, but i can't help shouting at them. Just be kind to yourself!

How old are they? Who naps? I have 5 yr old, 3.5 and 15 mth old. The light is starting to shine at the end of the tunnel for me.
For the last year, things that helped - getting out of the house when I'm really tired. It always feels worse at home. Eating out whenever possible, even the park. I've managed to force all 3 to have a nap at the same time this holiday after an unusually late night. Remind yourself it'll pass. Lots of telly. Wine.
