Baby eczema

My daughter was born with eczema on her back and her chest, ive tried every cream possible prescribed by the doctor and nothing has worked, i was worried about using alot of hydrocortisone. The routine was cream 3 times a day, this would be ok for a week then it would return so back to using hydrocortisone for a week, it would go but then come back within a week again. I have suffered with dry skin all my life and the only thing that works for me was Body shop coconut body butter, i was tempted to try it on her about a year ago but was advised by the doctor not to use it, and a baby's skin is delicate so i took there advice. I do alot of research online trying to find something that might work. I came across a article relating to natural products, pure 100 % virgin coconut oil, so i ordered some, but it would be a few days before it arrived, so i decided to try my bodyshop coconut body butter until it arrived, within two days of using it i could see a big change, needless to say ive been using the coconut body butter for 6 weeks and its cleared it up and has now gone. Ive not had to use any hydrocortisone. So if you are struggle with your childs eczema try it it might work. I still use it on her twice a day and will keep using it.

I'm also using coconut oil and it's helped loads with my baby's cradle cap and skin! I'm having to use hydrocortisone cream as he's red under his neck and underneath knees. Holland and Barrett have oil for £15 and you can buy another one for 1p x

The Aveeno baby eczema cream (only available via eBay) is good stuff too.

Good to know. Plain old Sudacrem has pretty much wiped out my daughters severe eczema.

Have you tried AVEENO cream?? After trying every other cream with no success, AVEENO worked like magic on dc3.
