Dd loves her sand / water table and trampoline but I'd like to get a few other bits too. She's 2.5 and I'm 7m pg so looking for stuff she busy herself with whilst I lollop around like a whale hang out close by...

We have had good use out of the lawnmower. Even older cousins like to try and 'help' my toddler use it.

A more expensive purchase was a play house. It gets plenty of use, but ds1 tries to make me sit in it and it's not easy to fit my backside in SmileGrin

Ooh lawn mower is a great one, thank you!

Little tikes cozy coupe. It was dd, 4wks, present to ds, 2.8, when she was born Grin however, he gets almost as much enjoyment out of a garden hose used to fill the birth pool and a proper watering can. Cheaper option too.

I've seen a little crazy golf set in b n m bargains. They have some amazing stuff that's dirt cheap.

A slide is great, knackers them out and keeps them entertained for ages.

One of my 3yo's favourite garden toys is a squirty bottle - the kind for misting plants, with a trigger pump. 'Cleaning' the patio doors with that and a cloth keeps her busy for quite a long time.

DIYandEatCake · 19/05/2014 23:47

Oh and if you have a patio, a large paintbrush to dip in water and 'paint' on the ground.

Cozy coupe. Try getting one secondhand as they last well. DH was all prepared to buy DS a much fancier (and more expensive) car but it was the cozy coupe that he was squealingly excited by, and 9 years later it is still being squealed over by visiting DC, having been well loved by DD in the meantime.
