Lump underneath bruise on 2yo tummy?

I am really fretting about this. It's been there, on his stomach, for a few days and I thought if it was nothing it would go down.

It hasn't and I'm trying to get an appointment to see a doctor, which is proving impossible.

I just wanted to see whether anyone had experience of something similar. It's a bit bigger than a pea in size but not near as big as a marble. It's on the right side of him abdomen just above where his nappy goes. The bruise, blue and yellow, is about 2 inches in length. Doesn't seem to hurt him when touching it but he has been a bit 'off' over the past 2 or 3 days.

I'll take him to a walk in but don't want to if I'm being a complete idiot and it's completely normal.

Take him to walk in. You'll only fret if you don't and if he's off colour as well as having an unexplained bruise it's best to get him checked. Hope he feels better soon.

If it isn't an unexplained bruise and you know he had a bump, it is probably a haematoma - a firm collection of solidified blood - underneath the bruise. They can last for several weeks even, as it takes time for the blood to break down and be absorbed. I would take him to the GP as the tummy is a bit of a funny place to get such a bump, get it checked out just for peace of mind.

thanks!

I can't explain the bruise, though he climbs/plummets everywhere, so that's another reason we should probably get going.
