Hi,
I'm a Scot bringing up a French/English bilingual son (17mths) in Pertuis, north of Aix en Provence. Any other native English speakers out there in the region who'd be interested in getting together to help the kids hear a bit more English from time to time?

Hello,
I am nowhere close to you but I have a bilingual child like you (she'll be 2 in 2 weeks time) and my parents live very close to where you are. So just saying hello!

Hi Fredly,
Thanks for your message, this is a really friendly site. Where are your parents? Any tips on good child-friendly excursions in the area? We've only been here a year and are still finding our feet in what is (so we are told) a notoriously unfriendly part of France!

My parents are in Digne-les-Bains. I have relatives in Aix. They'd be friendly as they come from Northern France ! I'll ask them about child friendly excursions. But I think as long as you have a good carrier bag for your son you should be fine anywhere.
