Cloth from the beginning

I've been using cloth nappies with DD for 18 months now. We started using them at around 8 weeks. DC2 is due in Aug and I plan to use cloth from the beginning.

I have collected 24 newborn nappies (TotsBots and Bumgenius) and I have 6 bamboo Little Lambs with wraps. Do I need more?

What do I do about the meconium stage? Fleece liners? I have both Tots Bots and Little Lambs ones.

How many BTP nappies will I need? We use Tots Bots and Bumgenius with DD. She needs approx 4/5 a day.

Any thoughts most welcome!

That's 30 newborn nappies? Sounds plenty. Definitely wouldn't bother buying any more of them - we only used a newborn size for about 1 month.
We didn't use cloth for the first few days, just free samples of disposables which saw us through the meconium stage! Have you got any disposable liners? I wouldn't want to try and wash meconium out.
Not sure about the last question - probably depends on how often you'll need to do washes with 2 in nappies! Why don't you leave it closer to the time and keep an eye out on ebay? Hope any of that helps!

Sorry to hijack thread but just wondering whether size 1 fitted little lambs, tots bots etc work for an average newborn? I don't mind a bit of bulk around the booty but don't want any leaks because their nappy is too big! X

My Tots Bots Easy Fits that DD uses will be too big. They start at 12lb. I have collected 24 preloved newborn Tots Bots Teenyfits and XS BumGenius over the last year on eBay.

My Little Lambs Size 1 start at 7lbs so probably.

I have also just bought a set of newborn bambino Mio prefolds on eBay for 99p!

I used terry towels for the meconium stage, and they washed out perfectly, no staining whatsoever.

My LL bamboo size 1s didn't fit DD for about 6 weeks, until she got slightly fatter legs. I guess at this point she weighed around 8.5lbs.

DD2 arrived on Sunday. We used the prefolds and wraps until Wednesday. No staining evident.
