Any guide dog owners about?

I'm on a waiting list for one at the moment. I have 3 kids, age 6, 5 and 3.

Just wondering if anyone has any useful experience/tips re: guide dogs and children. I usually have kids holding my/each other's hands or the buggy when we're out. It will feel wrong to have the older ones walking by themselves - though obviously that's going to have to happen soon anyway.

I can't suggest anything but would have expected some info from Blind Mums/guide dog people/disabled parents network (their chair lady is blind)
