My 8 wo has a snuffly cold and a bit if a cough... Any suggestions on helping him be more comfortable? He's so tiny and it's so sad watching him be so snuffly!

Cake for you, plenty sleep and cuddles for him. Not sure about cold symptoms - hope you get some useful practical tips and he feels better soon.

My little one is 6 weeks and just recovering from a cold. Saline nasal spray really helped her, used it before feeds to clear her nose to help her breathe more easily. It's suitable from birth. Or you could try sitting baby in their bouncer in the bathroom while you have a steamy shower.

Olbas for children sprinkled on the bed sheets; it really works for my ds.

Calpol saline spray
In a chair in bathroom while you have a hot shower (you need to turn your extractor fan off first though, sounds obvious but I didn't the first time Blush)
We also got one of those calpol plug in things, it did nothing for my blocked nose, but really seemed to help DS'

I recall alot of sitting in the bathroom with the shower on full blast when DD had her first cold. Would drop a little olbas oil into the bath that would vaporise with the hot wqter and help with clearing the mucus/snot.
We also bought some snufflebabe to put on her chest but can't remember what age you can.use that as I've given the pot to a neighbour that's also now got a poorly baby...

I found this article quite reassuring when mine sounded stuffed up and I was concerned:

If your LO is snotty, you Can use an aspirator to get rid of the snot. I bought this one www.amazon.co.uk/Nosefrida-NF-001-Nose-Frida-Nasal-Aspirator/dp/B004HZ0H7A/ref=sr_1_5?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1400055455&sr=1-5
