Ds,5, has recently became really over emotional. He has always been a laid back character before this, never really getting worked up even as a toddler, but now hes getting into hysterics over little things like not being able to open a bottle, or spilling something. He's never been told off for things like this. Nothing has changed at home or at school, though he is also getting upset at school. He says he doesn't know why he's getting so upset/angry and that he can't stop it. This is so out of character for him, and I hate seeing my generally happy boy so sad, upset and angry and than confused cause he doesn't know why he feels like it :( does anyone know what might be causing this? Or what I can do ti help him?

Is he getting enough sleep since starting school? I think dealing with new emotions that being at school involves can tire little ones.

Also, do boys get a surge of hormones at this age?

He gets at least 10-12 hours a night,so don't think its the sleep.
I never thought about a hormone surge, I shall Google it and see. That could explain it. Thank you
