Just had to share my good news. I've just heard that I have been accepted on a course to train as a community music tutor. This has come just a little early for me, as I have my final exam with the O.U. in October - still I am very grateful and VERY EXCITED!!!!

Thanks everyone. I have an initial residential weekend at Dare Valley Country Park in South Wales THIS WEEKEND!! Short notice but exciting. I studied for the past 6 years - B.A. (Hons) Humanities Dip Mus Dip R.S.. I couldn't do a full degree in music as there weren't enough courses available. My first ever course had a residential week at Durham University and it was life changing. The friends I made there are still in touch. My eldest daughter was married last year and one of the people I met travelled down from Huddersfield to play the flute (I am church organist) and we played Pachelbel's Canon in D together as she walked down the aisle - AMAZING!!
