Just quick 1. Can u ask what time your 18 month old naps at. My dd normally goes down at midday but she's started sleeping till 3pm. I pick ds up from nursey at 2pm. I keep having to get neighbour to pop round while I pick him up.

My twins are 19 months. They usually sleep 12.30-2.30 but sometimes thet can go down as early as 12 and wake up as late as 3 if they're really tired.

Mine goes to sleep sometime 12-1 (depending on how early she woke) and usually sleeps about 1.5 hours. But she's never been a big one for sleep

At nursery mine sleeps from 12-2 or thereabouts. At home she sleeps from around 10.30-11.45. I don't know why there's a difference though.

Around 12pm for at least 2 hours usually, often 3. At nursery FT time the week so we let her sleep 3 hours or until she wakes. Still sleeps at night.

Mine does anything between 1.5 and 3 hours. She gets very overtired if more than 4.5 hours between end of nap and bed so I put her down 12.45 to 1 every day. If she only does 1.5 then she's awake from 2.30 and if a longer nap then I just let her and she might fall asleep at night a little later.

You'll find that you'll have to change daycare hours now and then to suit their sleep schedules. My daughter is 2 years and 2 months and was quite happy to sleep from 12-1.30pm at daycare, although she often slept from 1pm-3pm at home. Now she is refusing to sleep at daycare and to fit in with their schedule her natural sleepiness is happening whilst they are all outside playing, so she gets whiny and grumpy. We used to pick up our daughter at 2.30pm after her sleep, but now we are going to have to get her before the sleep, at about 12.30pm.
So er, to cut through all that crap, the upshot is exactly as you've stated... glad to be helpful XD
