Yes, gets rid of any gunk from manufacturing/dying process and also makes it more absorbent.

loopylou49 · 25/08/2006 19:10

i am a new convert as well, first lot of fleece wraps coming tomorrow (so she said).
I cant stop looking at all the nappies and wraps, there soooooooooooooooooooo cute (didnt think i could say that about nappies.

MrsWaggsnapps · 26/08/2006 09:03

If it's a red fleece wash it in with other red stuff (or colour wash) at 40, as the dye does leak at first. It's better not to wash fleece wraps with nappies as the fluff from the towelling coats the fleece abit and ruins the look of them.

Having said that a couple of washes with something else the same colour soon solves that

Flamey · 26/08/2006 12:57

I was just coming on to say the same about washing it with reds to start with! I was assured that it wouldn't run, and my DS had pink tinged nappies for ages til it washed out properly!

loopylou49 · 26/08/2006 13:01

one step ahead of you- have washed it with my red outdoor chair covers- so killed 2 birds with one stone!!
