water for 4month old

how many times a day should you be giving a 4 month old who is bottle feed water. thanks

unless they are constipated, it's really hot or they have started solids then they don't need any extra water whether breast or bottle fed

Talk to your HV. My understanding is that a 4 month old definitely does not require water. There is no nutrition in water, it fills you babies tummy up & yet contains no calories or goodness. The breast milk or formula, provides hydration.
