Sainsbury's value nappies, any experiences?

Picked up a pack of these for the times when ds2 invariably fills his nappy 15 minutes before bath time. I normally use pampers active fit or baby dry, but it seems a waste to use one of these pricier nappies for such a short period of time.

Anyway, 1.41 for 20 nappies, I was expecting them to be pretty awful, plasticy and have sticky tapes, but they look pretty much like any other own brand nappy (no "cute" design, but hey, who cares), feel nice and soft, aren't bulky and have Velcro style tabs. I haven't tried one yet, but did a search on here which threw up old threads saying how awful and plasticy they were. They've clearly been redesigned, and was wondering if anyone had any reports, good or bad? I'll report back once ds has used some, but at half the price if pampers on good special offer, I'm hoping I may have hit nappy gold...
