Phase 10 - fab!

Clayhead · 27/04/2014 21:56

Rummikub or Labyrinth?

Rooble · 27/04/2014 21:56

The London Board Game. Your 5yo may find it a challenge initially and may want to be in a team with a parent, but it's vg. You have to travel round the tube to visit various places and get a kind of chance card every time you change lines. Time is reasonably limited (unlike Monopoly!).

Dominoes? We were given some really good nine spot ones. Not sure where they were from, but really nice size.

CMOTDibbler · 27/04/2014 21:57

Hey thats my fish, or Dobble

Rooble · 27/04/2014 21:57

Lego games such as Minotaurus, or City Alarm maybe, too?

Youdontneedacriminallawyer · 27/04/2014 22:06

Another one for Uno. Or Rapido.

PacificDogwood · 27/04/2014 22:06

Oooh, Rummikub - yes, I'd second that one too

thatstoast · 27/04/2014 22:17

Cranium is fun. You play in teams of two.

MollyBdenum · 27/04/2014 22:20

Our children are 4 and 7 and we like Max the Cat and Loopin Louie.

AlarmOnSnooze · 27/04/2014 22:22

Rummikub
Scoop
Card games - Rummy, Canasta
Uno/Whot

Loads of lovely quick ones, ep Hop, hop, Hop, Ringo Flamingo, Pop to the Shops.

Lots of the Orchard toys games are still suitable, just weed out the very easy ones. Same for Ravensburger games - Enchanted Forest is brilliant.

Cluedo?

JugglingChaotically · 27/04/2014 22:23

Blockus! Lots of fun.

JugglingChaotically · 27/04/2014 22:24

Not a board game but jenga.
And also my 6 year loves card games too.

jelliebelly · 27/04/2014 22:30

The new monopoly empire is great - totally different to traditional monopoly - fast paced and easier for younger children to grasp - mine aged 8 and 5 love it!!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 27/04/2014 22:31

Ludo

Another vote for Uno!

LizzieMint · 28/04/2014 10:10

Fab I was just going to ask the same question! My DD (7) loves playing board games.
The ones we play most are Mastermind, Ick (card game with gross monsters), a few of the Lego games, rapidough, ludo.
Going to order some of the other ones mentioned now!

BlueChampagne · 28/04/2014 13:12

We love Qwirkle, even the 4 year old manages it with a bit of help. We got the travel version as it fits on a table better.

And Uno
