Planned circumcision and potty training

My little boy Reub is 2.8 and has lots of 'ballooning ' when he wees. He is quite resistant to weeing on the potty and waits for long periods before he wees. He is due to be circumcised later this year. Any one know if this ballooning can be painful? Reub says sometimes if I ask him directly but as he is quite resistive not sure what to think. Ideas please

Hi, my ds is only 9mo, but has the same problem. Will probably be circumcised at similar age to your ds. He can find it quite uncomfortable when weeing, but not all of the time though. His ballooning can be very severe, sometimes to the size of his fist.

HTH a little. Or someone else can help you out.

My ds had this. It has eased a lot as he has got older (now 5), and he is unlikely to require circumcision. He hasn't complained about pain as such, although it was uncomfortable at times.

Thanks to the replies. Will just have to see how it goes. Just does look unsightly at times
