Hi all,

This is my first message and is on behalf of a friend of mine (I promise!). She has discovered she has given her 6 week old son the follow on version of aptamil in error. He has been drinking it for the last couple of days and she's heartbroken that she's bought the wrong one by mistake and is worried about the repercussions! Any ideas about the differences and why it's only suitable for 6 months plus would be gratefully received to put her mind at ease!

Thank you in advance!

Follow on milk compliments weaning. The baby will be fine it's not to much different but switch back to the first milk from now onwards. Tell her not to worry. My 2 year old shoved toast in my newborns mouth the day after bringing her home . Baby will be fine x

It's barely any different. There is only more than one stage of milk for marketing purposes as it's the law that newborn formula can't be marketed.

Tell her not to worry. It's really not a big deal!
