Calling french mums (or dads) - Which books & DVDs

I have 2 sons (3yo and 15 months old) and I am looking for books and DVDs in french for them, specially the older one.
The problem : I can tell you what ds1 will like to read, watch in english (Thomas, Noddy, Fireman Sam Etc...) but have no idea what are the main characters back in france. What would you advice for a 3 yo?

Well you can find Noddy, or Oui Oui as he is called in French no probs. Petit Ours Brun is also good and Mimi Cracra, though that can be a bit girly my 6 yo boy cousin likes it now though he rejected it as a 3 yo! I'm afraid thats it from me, I was a girl!

Petit ours brun is a good one but ds1 seems to grow out of it now.
I suppose my problem is that he is not keen on all the cartoons I remember from my childhood )Nounours, barbapapa...).
I will try noddy and mimicracra.
Anyone else with some suggestions??

Barney is also in French! FYI, if you have cable /satellite, Cartoon Network Too will start showing some programs (incl Barney) in French from September onwards

Try Mimi the little mouse - Maisy in English or Bob le bricoleur - Bob the builder. All the disney films you can get in french, english & other lang options on dvd. See amazon.fr

Tchoupi, Oui-Oui (French Noddy), Petit Ours Brun, les schtroumpfs.
