My kids coughing and snotty noses

Hi,
Both my kids 27 months and 12 months have got really runny noses and tickly coughs. GP said it's a virus and to wait it out. It is particularly worse for my older child. She coughs so much she is sometimes sick and it mainly looks like saliva and snot, she is off her food, not sleeping cos of the cough and is getting distressed with it so much. I am forever wiping their noses too, it's yellow/green in a morning, then goes clear for the rest of the day.

Can anyone help me to help them please?

It's horrible isn't it, my DS (3.6) and DD (14mo) seem to constantly be passing colds between each other

Not much you can do about the snot, apart from stock up on tissues

With the night time cough though, try putting some Vicks on the soles of her feet and cover with socks, works a treat
