I'm sorry that this is not strictly a 'parenting' issue, but I wanted to let as many people as possible know about this info. I didn't know this so I am assuming others don't...

If you have 3 or more children and are claiming tax credits (or a range of other 'benefits') you may be entitled to a reduction in your water bill.

Check out this leaflet
or your water board for more info.

I think different water boards operate differently, but for Severn Trent Water the info can be found under a part of the site called 'vulnerable users' and registration means that our water bill will be capped so we never pay more than the local average.

I didn't think we would be eligable because we have a reasonable income, but we are.

Mmmmmm........will show DH this, he will look into it, I'm sure! He loves to save a few pennies if he can!!

Should have said that you have to be on a water meter...

...and that the water board website was much more informative than the inland revenue (Severn TRent at least)
