ds won't stop screaming

My usually chilled and happy 4mo has been screaming and crying for over an hour. Nothing will calm him down. Any suggestions? Cuddling him at the moment but it's making no difference, he's inconsolable.

Have you checked temperature? Are you sure he isn't ill?

If your sure he isn't ill, he could be overtired they love to scream if overtired. Have you seen the happiest baby on the block video on you tube with the 5s? It's good have a watch. X

Is he alright now? Did you find out what had upset him? Hope you and he are back to being chilled out now.

Check him from top to toe.

Don't want to scare you but the last baby I looked after who did this had a tortion of the testis.

Screaming for over an hour suggests pain to me.

Torsion. Can't spell.

He settled down to sad whimpers, was unsettled for about another hour or so and then just as I was trying to settle him to sleep became his usual happy self and smiled and gurgled until he ran out of energy and fell asleep on dh. He was clearly very, very upset about something this afternoon but I have no idea what. Usually milk or cuddles fix everything so this was really out of character for him.
