It might partly be the change but I suspect it is mainly due to the teeth. Is he getting enough daytime sleep with your DH / DM? If not, he will be horribly overtired and that won't help.

It will pass as he gets used to the new routine and the teeth atop bothering him, don't panic!

We found teething pain worse at night, much much worse! could you try a dose of calpol/ calprofen with his bedtime milk and see if his night improves?

What is his day routine like? He really needs two naps a day plus reasonably early bedtime. If he doesnt get this he will be massively overtired and cannot switch off then fights sleep.
