Too much milk?

DS is nearly two and loves his milk, usually drinks about a pint a day. A small cup when he wakes up, one mid morning, one mid afternoon and one at bedtime. He doesn't really snack between meals, and eats three reasonable meals per day. (Although he won't eat fruit or veg at the moment, so am adept at hiding them stealthily in his dinner!)

Should I be cutting down, or are there other toddlers who
love their milk?

Is he drinking any water?

Yes, he likes drinking water as well. He occasionally has juice, but rarely.

Ours loves milk too and would drink nothing else. He has milk on his cereals and two half cups as mealtime drinks. He also drinks at least a large sippy cup of v. weak squash a day. I'm a huge fan of milk so I would never restrict his consumption.

Is it full fat or semi (as a pint of full fat has a lot of saturated fat in it you are worried about his weight)?

DD is 2.3 and she loves her milk, she'd get through a pint a day too if she could. I'm trying to cut down the afternoon drink as I think she should probably be having a snack instead, but morning and bedtime she'll have 6-7oz easily.

Am not worried about his weight, he's tracking his line well (91st centile) and he's mega active. I suppose a lot of toddlers have swapped their mid morning and afternoon milk for snacks by now, so will try to encourage that instead.
