Anyone on here never been vaccinated?

I'm interested to know if anyone on here has NEVER been vaccinated, I haven't, for anything , and consider myself to be one of the healthiest people I know. Yes, I did have the usual childhood measles, mumps, chickenpox etc, but I have quite a strong belief that having these has made my immune system far stronger.
My doctor commented on how little I have on my medical records, and barely any of it is virus/disease related, its all physical stuff like a waxy ear, constipation, and one time when my left boob went numb because I'd trapped a nerve.
Anyway, I'd just like to hear from people (fairly sure I will with such a controversial topic...) And please don't just say things like "get it done" without offering your own reasons why/why not, I'm not interested in just blithely agreeing with whatever the media/government/pharmaceuticals tell me. Though tempted as I was to go stock up on Tamiflu...
So, I'm off to work now, in advance appreciation of your responses....

Babyjabs is not impartial. It make money out of selling single vaccines at very inflated prices and has been ruled against by the ASA more than once.

Martorana · 13/04/2014 23:44

Have a look at this if you want actual real information, not advertising.

Fullyswindonian · 13/04/2014 23:54

Martirana You are flaming people for linking to anti vac info which isn't verifiable then you link to pro vac info which isn't verifiable either.

We all know there's only one real truth out there, but Pharma manages to fool some of the people all of the time.

Stay Curious. It's the safest way.

I've not read any of this apart from the first post. I wasn't vaccinated against whooping cough due to concerns about the vaccination when I was little. One of my earliest memories is how sick I was with whooping cough. Even when I was 'better' I coughed to the point of vomiting in a cafe the first trip out my mum dared to take me on.

The reason I won't reAd the thread is that I am a children's intensive care doctor and have looked after kids who have died from diseases they could have been vaccinated against. I can still vividly remember the babies I cared for who died of whooping cough, of haemophilus influenza, of pneumococcus, in the 4 yrs I've worked in paeds icu. I can remember their parents. I can also remember all the kids who died of things we can't prevent. It's desperately unfair that some children die as babies, it's devastating for their families. We are so lucky to live in a country where we can protect our children from fatal illnesses.

Martorana · 13/04/2014 23:58

I am not flaming anyone.

And I linked to an article which contains links to proper, peer reviewed scientific papers which people can read and draw their own conclusions from. The results of properly conducted tests and trials. Which have been scrutinised and challenged by a lot of qualified people. Not an account of what happened to the writer's second cousin once removed.

Martorana · 14/04/2014 00:00

And yes, the writer is pro vac. The information isn't. As somebody said, science is there, whether you believe in it or not.

Some of the people who could respond to your post as having never had any vaccinations won't be able to because they will be dead as a result of having never had vaccinations.

These are not harmless childhood illnesses.

dailygrowl · 14/04/2014 23:32

I echo what DinoSnores said. Also add to that list of people who are brain damaged as a result of those diseases too.

dailygrowl · 14/04/2014 23:33

typo: "that list of people those who are", I mean
