Thats all really, she said her ears are a bit sore. She isnt in agony but is grumpy as its hurting and she cant get to sleep. She had calpol at half 7 so cant give anymore for a while and ahe has asthma so am wary of giving ibuprofen.

Any advice, or an idea of what has worked for others would be great

Something warm against the ear should offer some relief, like a wheat-bag or a flannel or a hot water bottle, and keep up the calpol.

Yes - my weird but fail safe recipe for earache.

Dry fry half an onion (no oil). Wrap it in a muslin or tea towel and hold to sore ear.

It works miracles.

Slice onion before frying!

agree with above, pain relief and something warm against the ear.
and off to the gp if it doesn't get better soon.

If its still there in the morning get her seen. Ears are not to be messed with.
