I'm pregnant with dc3 and now I've only got 7 weeks to go I'm getting tired really easily. dc1 is 4, dc2 is 2. I'm struggling by mid afternoon as I don't have the energy to keep them occupied meaning we're watching an awful lot more tv than I'd like.

any ideas? Or is it not the end of the world to have square eyes for a bit? thanks for any thoughts. Smile

How about Playdough at the table whilst you sit and monitor and hopefully have a cup of tea. I am sure a bit of extra tv won't hurt Grin

Don't be too hard in yourself it's not easy at all keeping little ones occupied especially when you're heavily pregnant and we all use the tv when we are tired or busy!

There are things you can do that don't require too much physical exertion.

Reading together
Sticker books
Jigsaws
building blocks
drawing
colouring,
painting,
play dough,
threading,
Happyland,
Pretend shops and pretend restaurants
picnics - real and pretend
Lego
puppet shows with their toys

I wouldn't feel too guilty and I'm sure it will get easier as the weather gets better if you have a garden. If you're on Facebook this page often has some good activities to do for your age groups:) Good luck with the imminent arrival:)

thank you! Smile

was much better today actually as the dry weather let us get outside for a bit, which always feels better than being stuck inside. Going to try and create 'time slots' in my head so we do something fun together for a bit and then if I need to rest they can watch a tv program. I think I'll manage better and not beat myself up so much if I do it like that.
