Sling suffocation worry!

I have a moby wrap and I can't seem to do it so my DD's(10 days) head isn't partially covered by the second bit you pull over ( before pulling up the bit with the label on). I have to walk around sort of permenantly pulling the material away from her nose and mouth. Tips? X x

Do you have a song library near by? They should be able to show you how to tie it properly. I don't have any experience specifically with a moby personally

I have a karime which i think is similar and was shown to at the shoulder put your hand under the material, get hold of the side thats flopping over baby and pull it under the material, so you getva sort of twist effect. Its hard to describe so hope that helps.

Ive also found this problem happens more if baby is toO low.

A sling library should be able to show you

Yes, agree baby must be nice and high (you should be able to give them a kiss on the head easily) and if your baby is small, go higher still, to make the "seat" higher, fold the "cross" part somewhere high like between your under boob line and bellybutton. Also you can fold over the shoulder parts so that there is less material to get in the way - assuming you have put it on flattened out rather than scrunched up. Gawd this is hard to explain! hope you get my gist!

Yes, start with the very first bit around your waist much higher up. I've used a moby and it's easy to get this bit wrong. Started with a 6lb baby in it so def can tie it without it covering their face.

There are some good you tube videos.
