Teething or something more?

I know this will probably sound bonkers but I haven't experienced many teething symptoms with my 2yo DD, and this weekend I think the larger molars must be moving but I'm panicking myself and worrying its something else! So, so far my DD is refusing to eat anything but the bare minimals, when she puts food in her mouth and chews, she starts crying. Same with drink, if she tries to use her straw cup she cries immediately. She's super drooly, whingy, grizzly; she wants her dummy all the time for comfort when normally she doesn't have it at all. And I can't make her happy, she'll play for a few minutes then come to me crying. Does this sound like teething behaviour or should I take her to the doctors and is there anything I can do about food and water? She has water in a cup but she is hardly eating.

I don't have much experience either but when I thought it was just teething DS has a virus that was giving him a really high temperature. I'd go to the dr if this is not 'typical' teething for her, it might be that she's a bit under the weather. From what you have described it sounds like it probably is but I'd always check. And the dr won't mind if it's nothing more.

Weirdly my 15mo has been like this for a few days, apart from the fact she's drinking orange squash only.. like it's going out of fashion.. I know she's teething as I felt a little spike this morning, but I'd always go to the docs if it's irregular for her... the last time I swore my dd was teething she had to tonsilitus..
