ive only been using cloth for a few weeks and have a rainbow bots and fluffle that need a nippa. the problem i have is that they keep coming undone. i dont know if it is because DS is commando crawling on his belly at the moment and is dragging them down or if im not fastening them tight enough. i tend to do them tight enough that ican get two fingers down the front.
has any one any ideas and advice as im getting abit peeved with it and have oredered more tots without aplix

Are they new nippas? I find that mine need to be stretched a bit before they are fully gripping.

Not sure how tightly I fasten DD's nappies - probably tighter than two fingers space, although I'm not completely sure.

they are new nippas and i did pull them abit before using them. i have tried to do them tighter but it feels like it will then be diging in his stomach when hes sitting, does this not happen? i suppose he would let me know if he was uncomfy.

should i try and stretch them abit more before using them again.

it seems to be the down bit that doesnt hold and then the other bits come undone

DD doesn't really crawl - she is more a sitting type of baby (although is now doing a complicated pulling along thing) and I don;t think any nippas have squashed her at all - I should think that the wrap would stop it.

I do find that if I haven't pulled the bottom part down far enough, that it is more likely to ping up and then the rest collapse.

thanks iris, i think thats where im going wrong as i didnt know how far down to pull the boittom bit as when i pulled it quite far down the long across bit moved down from the folded in sides of nappy and i thought it wouldnt hold. i'll try pulling it down further next time. DS does the pulling along thing, he looks like a sealhe tends to pull himself along on his belly with his hands and sort of pushes with one foot. very cute and funny
