Hi all, my daughters had a reaction to Elastoplast plasters . Anyone else had this. It looks really sore on both legs . She keeps tapping it. What plasters should I buy??

My dd and Dh have both reacted to those orange fabric plasters but are ok but the plastic type.

PirateJones · 31/03/2014 17:01

Which kind of Elastoplast plaster was it?
she probably allergic to the plastic, try Fabric plasters.

Bedsheets4knickers · 31/03/2014 17:02

They were the fabric one, I feel really bad :-(

Try the plastic ones.
You weren't to know, at least now you'll be prepared for next time.

Don't worry, you weren't to know. My Dh was an adult when he reacted. The reaction ended up being a lot worse than the cut he was covering. I think it could be the adhesive on them. They are very strong.

Just be sure to let school or nursery or wherever know.

I'm allergic to them and so is DS.

I use boots hypoallergenic plasters, or the plastic clear type.

It looks horrible and can take a while to go away but it will heal.

CMOTDibbler · 31/03/2014 21:12

DS reacts to the fabric ones, but not the Boots hypoallergenic ones. He can't have temporary tattoos either, and especially not the glitter ones

Thanks ladies x

I get that with most plasters so now use micropore tape and a dressing.
