DS2 is 10 months, I feed him, then DH rocks him to sleep and puts him in our bed at about 7:15pm. At 10pm, I then go to bed in DS1's room (on sofa bed) and DH joins DS2 in our bed for the night.
All three of us used to share a bed, but DS2 started having nights where he wanted to 'graze' every 40 minutes (prior to that he'd only wake once or twice a night) which wasn't fun, so I took away the 'all night buffet' and now I just go through to feed him when he actually wants a feed and not just 'because it's there' :-)
DS2 has always taken all his daytime naps alone in our bed, so he's quite happy to sleep there by himself.
DS1 didn't really 'self-settle' until he was 3 years old, prior to that, we'd read him stories until he fell asleep (up to 9 stories or more) or we'd read him 3 stories, switch off the light and sit with him until he fell asleep (usually about an hour later sometimes more, sometimes a lot less (esp if he was tired).
The night he started sending us out his room after stories so he could fall asleep by himself was fantastic :-)
