How do you get respect from your child when they think that they know everything.And wont listen to reason.

you probably won't get respect until they have children of their own! that was the case for me and my mum anyway!

what is respect?

do you mean - they must listen to you? ist hat really respect?

do you mean good manners?

i think good manners and thinking of other family members is respect.

to speak to me without attitude is respect - we can disagree on things - i can tell them i want something doing NOW

but they do not talk to me disrespectuflly even if they disagree.

look at someone when they are talking to you
no swearing
