Should I be letting my almost 8 year old dd watch Eastenders. She loves watching it with me.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

What? No! Why on earth would you think that's appropriate!? My 9 year old would love to watch certain things with me but that's no reason to let her.

At 8 your daughter has not got the emotional maturity to process the storylines and issues which are raised. Rape, homelessness, domestic violence...these are not entertainment for a child.

Thank u. As I thought. There will be no more eastenders.

I dont think its appropriate, kids should be kids, only teenagers should be ok. My kids are young my 7yr old pays attention to eastenders when im watching but i tell him to do something else, or i would watch when they are in bed.
