New baby dry nappies causing abrasions

I have used pampers baby dry nappies for overnight for months without problems. Since they introduced the 'caterpiller flex' (exactly the same sides as on the active fit to my eyes) my ds has woken up a couple of times with what look like scratches on his tummy in about the same place as the tabs would be on the outside. Yesterday he had this on both sides of his tummy. I rang pampers but missed their lines being open. I have taken pictures to send to them, as I am certain that it is caused by the nappy. I have put sudocrem on the sore bits and have put ds in pull ups today to avoid tabs altogether. Has anyone else had this adn what would you advise me to do. TIA

I had the exact same problem with them last month, and spoke to a lovely lady at the Pampers Careline.
She asked me to send two nappies and the barcode to them, and I recieved a £30 pampers voucher two days later.
She has been in touch twice since, and suggested it may have been a fault with the batch as they have recieved similar complaints, or that it is a reaction to the new materials.
We have started using the regular pampers again as it's not worth the risk in my opinion.

I've just spoken to another lovely lady at the careline, and she said they hadn't heard of this before!! (But then they WOULD say that, wouldn't they?). I suppose we might have had nappies from the same faulty batch. Either way, I'm not going to use them again, either. Although I 've continued to use other pampers without problems. Thanks for your reply, glad (and sorry) that it's not just me.

Did they offer you any advice or compensation?

Have just received pack to send nappies to them in. And £7.00 (how come you got £30??!!)in vouchers. I probably shouldn;t have said that I wasn't ringing to get money off, but to alert them to a problem!

I know this thread is a little dated but I use pampers baby dry on my dd and she has abrasions on her bum (i thought it was nappy rash and have used various creams) but i'm now thinking it might be the material on the nappy. Everytime we bath her she is always try to scratch her bottom and when she has she has scratched till its bled think i'm going to give huggies a try
