So last night & the night before, DS's coughing made him be sick. It was only the once each time & not a great volume (I managed to catch last nights in my palmConfused), but it can't be nice for himSad & is obviously disturbing his sleep.

Is there anything I can do to stop this or help him? Maybe the Vicks on the feet thing??

vicks isnt suitable for under 2's. The only thing you can give really is a simple linctus which would coat the throat, or a spoonful of honey maybe as he's 1.

Dtd does this A LOT, last winter was horrible, being sick all MY bed and ME.

Once she was one we started giving her a spoonful of honey before going to bed (not every night only when she has a cough), and it really helps. Also humidifying the room.
The other thing I did when I was desperate is spend 10-15 mins in the bathroom with the water running on hot, like a steam room, helps release some of the snot.
Hope this helps a bit.
